Different visitors may have different abilities, preferences, and access needs. Choose an activity that makes room for those differences. Ask the venue about suitable sessions and be ready to adjust the plan so no one feels pushed into an unfamiliar situation.
A short conversation before departure gives everyone a shared starting point. Discuss the venue rules and how adults will organise the outing. Keep the discussion appropriate to the group and refer questions about the location to the staff responsible for it.
Consider the destination, the people joining you, and the activities you are planning. Pack for the setting and leave time to read local information. Review the plan together so everyone has a chance to raise questions before the visit begins.
